Media release: New CEO of Services Australia

Minister for Government Services, Stuart Robert, today announced the appointment of Ms Rebecca Skinner as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Services Australia, commencing Monday 16 March 2020.
Minister Robert said Ms Skinner is a distinguished senior public sector leader with a career spanning national security policy, intelligence, business transformation and service delivery.
‘Ms Skinner will bring critical capability to the role of the CEO at an important time in the transformation journey of Services Australia, having previously driven significant reform across the Defence enterprise and led the department through a range of crisis response efforts in support of Government,’ Mr Robert said.
‘In welcoming Ms Skinner to the role, I’d also like to sincerely thank Ms Amanda Cattermole for her leadership as interim CEO, particularly during the recent challenges of the Black Summer bushfire disasters.’
Most recently, Ms Skinner was the Associate Secretary at the Department of Defence. As the principal deputy in the Department she led Defence enterprise management and marquee programs such as the Defence-ERP, integrated service delivery, people and governance reform.
Previously, Ms Skinner has held senior roles in the Department of Defence as the Deputy Secretary, People and as Deputy Secretary, Strategic Policy & Intelligence.
